Ensure the continuity of operations and the effective implementation of the academic, clinical and research functions of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Develop and manage the department budgets, develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, manage key administrative operations for the department including space allocation, human resources, communications, supervision of staff and programmatic and research support.

Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Accounting or a closely related field may substitute for two years of required experience.
Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ progressively responsible experience in administrative management, to include proficiency in budgeting, grants and contracts, staff, space and facilities management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: 8-10 years progressively responsible relevant experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret academic policies and procedures, to train and motivate staff, and to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
