  • Position Summary

    Provide high level data support for the University’s Alumni and donor database (Ellucian’s Advance). Primary technical liaison between end-users and UDAR reporting. Facilitate specific use of computer/network resources. Monitor and resolve data retrievals and reports in a timely manner using ticketing system. Develop and manage UDAR reports and retrievals. Manage supplemental assistance as needed. Administer data mining and reporting using various technologies including MS SQL, SSRS Package, DTS jobs, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Oracle, and .NET. Provide problem solving, troubleshooting, training, and technical expertise to facilitate use of computer/network resources; respond to requests for technical advice from users regarding a variety of computers, networks, voice and image peripherals, application software, and information retrieval tools supported by Development and Alumni Information Systems.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Education:
    Master's Degree and experience in an academic and/or research environment

    Required Experience:
    4 years network database and reporting management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience with hardware and software installation and troubleshooting and creating and modifying scripts

    Preferred Experience:
    Prior higher educational or fundraising experience

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Excellent data analysis, planning, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. Ability to work independently and in a team environment under deadline pressure. Proficiency using programming languages & applications (Microsoft SSRS, DTS, SQL, PL SQL, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, Box, Tableau, Acrobat, MS Office, .NET, and Java script). Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Proficiency using Ellucian Advance
