To support these efforts, NYU Stern has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director, Dean’s Office Affairs. Reporting to the Dean and serving as a member of the school's leadership team, the Executive Director will spearhead all aspects of the Office of the Dean including leading a variety of school, wide initiatives, communications, relationships, and projects. S/he will serve as the Dean's liaison to NYU and Stern leaders, faculty, students, donors, alumni, and other audiences. S/he will serve as liaison for the Dean responding to sensitive and confidential matters. The Executive Director will advise the Dean regarding matters that require his attention. They will also assist the Dean with a variety of communications to internal and external audiences. S/he will also manage staff and an annual budget.
The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree or MBA preferred) and 8 years of progressively responsible experience managing administrative activities for an executive or dean or an equivalent combination. Excellent relationship building, strategic planning, networking, presentation, verbal and written communication skills are essential. A proven ability to direct and implement a variety of complex operations and projects is also required.
