The Director of Prospect Research manages a team of professionals who partner with fundraisers to identify and research prospects for funding priorities throughout the university. Reporting to the Executive Director of Prospect Development & Campaign Analytics, the Director provides direction, guidance, and mentorship to a team of at least 7 researchers, and will work with other members of the Prospect Development team to promote a strategic, data-informed culture. The Director will work closely with school and program directors to match donor interests with funding opportunities and to ensure robust prospect pools. The Director liaises with the SVP to provide briefing support for the University President and other principal gift prospects.
Ten or more years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least three years’ experience overseeing the work of other professional staff. Understanding of fundraising and prospecting in a complex organization.

Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative & collegial style with ability to manage complex situations.
