  • Position Summary

    The Coordinator, Visitor Relations and Special Events will play a critical role in creating an exceptional campus visit experience for prospective students, families, and guests. The Coordinator, Visitor Relations and Special Events will partner with the manager on the planning and execution of a broad range of events and programs at admissions centers across the University. The incumbent will create a strong partnership with campus partners, student life leaders and University groups in order to provide the best experience for prospective students, families, community based organizations, college counselors, and alumni volunteers. The Coordinator will develop concepts, campaigns, and strategies in consultation with the Marketing and Communications team. In addition, the role will oversee the evaluation of the quality of vendor services and products, and make recommendations concerning their future use.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Education:
    N/A

    Required Experience:
    At least 3 years’ experience in external/visitor relations, event planning or related field in the higher education, governmental, nonprofit, or corporate space.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience with enterprise information systems, e.g. Slate CRM, EMS

    Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Excellent adaptability to changing organizational dynamics. Ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. A desire to continually advance change and improvement. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
