  • Position Summary

    The Assistant Director of Digital Communications will be responsible for managing Undergraduate Admissions’ expanding online presence and integrated marketing strategies. Leveraging new and existing technologies, this person will play an important role in helping NYU to meet its enrollment goals across their three global campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai. This position will also help to develop and oversee the marketing strategies for NYU’s visiting and high school programs. The successful candidate has thorough knowledge of digital communications in a global context, and significant experience using all forms of new media and technologies.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Education:
    N/A

    Required Experience:
    Three-to-five years of experience in the marketing/communications field, preferably in the context of a college or university, similar organization, or agency.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience in an admissions or academic environment.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Experience managing web analytics and reporting. Experience with web content management systems. Experience with enterprise information systems (e.g. CRM). Excellent writing and communications skills. The ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Proficiency in web development methodology, software, and standards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Deep understanding of the online communications production process, including working knowledge of HTML and proficiency with web content management systems. Ability to use a variety of digital tools — images, video, GIFs, and other forms of multimedia — to tell stories. Knowledgeable and passionate about current and emerging social platforms. Experience with SEO, web analytics and reporting.
