NYU's prestigious Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations. The Assistant Director will manage the planning and execution of a high-profile portfolio of alumni events, which includes the Alumni Holiday Celebration, Reunion Weekend and other signature events. S/he will develop relationships with Stern alumni and develop programs to engage them in the life of the School. Additional responsibilities will include: creating communications to increase the visibility of alumni programming; tracking event-related spending and expenditures to ensure events stay on budget and on time; and utilizing software platforms to manage event registration and alumni engagement metrics. The Assistant Director will also assess and recommend improved services and operating policies and procedures to the Director.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree along with 3 years' relevant alumni or membership relations experience or equivalent combination. Candidates must have experience planning special events, administrating budgets, and communicating effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization. Strong project management and customer service skills are crucial. Knowledge of standard office software, including database management and spreadsheets also essential.
