  • Position Summary

    The Senior Research Analyst for Global Development, based out of the New York Office, is a member of a team responsible for partnering with fundraising to provide prospect identification and research services throughout the fundraising cycle, with a specific emphasis on international prospects in Asia. Identify potential donors and/or new alumni to target for fundraising efforts through various research methods. Obtain and analyze information on major donor prospects, trustees from current or prospective corporations, foundations and/or individuals, assess quality of donor and giving ability and forward analysis to Development Directors and Alumni relations officers to use for the creation targeted fundraising and cultivation strategies. Write donor prospect briefings for development team. Mandarin language skills preferred.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Education:
    Master's degree

    Required Experience:
    3-5+ years of experience in prospect research, development and/or fundraising, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Preferred Experience:
    Strong preference for candidates with knowledge and experience with international prospect research.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Strong analytical, written and verbal communications skills. Familiarity with relational databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and experience with research database such as Dun and Bradstreet, Hoover's, and Lexis- Nexis. Fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred. Mastery of international research sources, as well as knowledge of international wealth.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Mandarin language skills preferred.
