Manage academic, administrative, and student services operations of the academic programs for the Department of Math at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, including student recruitment, admissions, academic and career counseling for students. Advise students on program requirements, course sequencing and departmental and Tandon policies and procedures. Develop course schedules, orientations and examination dates; assist the Directors of the academic programs with the development and implementation of departmental administrative and academic policies.
Bachelor's or Master's in Education, Administration or a related field
3 years' relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with planning and administering activities, academic advising, and staff supervision
Experience with student recruitment, admissions or career placement.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Working knowledge of various software applications including HTML and web programming.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to use desktop publishing and web design (HTML, Dreamweaver). Extensive knowledge of BRIO, Access, Excel and Word.
