Position Summary

This position would administer various budget, financial, and administrative support functions for the Office of Budget and Planning. This position is responsible for overseeing the office operations as well as processing financial and procurement transactions, performing reconciliations, initiating financial billings. The incumbent will manage fiscal transactions and ensure budgets are within limits. The Budget Administrator will oversee office management responsibilities and administrative tasks for a fiscal unit, inclusive of scheduling Assistant Dean’s calendar, ordering supplies, maintaining office files and records, event set-up and strike-down. The incumbent will manage administrative functions, including coordinating services for essential divisional needs (e.g., public and administrative copiers, courier services for library materials and special collections). This position will provide assistance and support of preparations for annual Principals budget process and fiscal year-end close. The incumbent will work with Asst. Dean to develop strategies to meet Library goals.


Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field

Required Experience:
2 years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include budget or finance experience

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Excel, database software, and standard office software. Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels and adapt quickly to new systems and software.
