Under the direction of the Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the incumbent will assist with implementing NYU Tandon School of Engineering Undergraduate Admissions' events and on-campus programs for prospective and accepted students and their families (i.e. information sessions, high school visits, yield events for newly admitted students, and etc.). The Senior Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Tandon School of Engineering departments of undergraduate academics to facilitate enrollment management events and programs. He/she will coordinate events and ensure quality and compliance with NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s goals and policies.
The Senior Program Coordinate will participate in the overall effort to market the Tandon School of Engineering undergraduate programs with occasional travel throughout the country to recruit future STEM leaders. He/she will help shape the incoming engineering class by supporting coordination of programming and yield events for prospective students and community partners.
Responsibilities include: coordinating recruitment events, scheduling the facilities, administer participant communications, and vendor relations and payments. Assist Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment with creating new initiatives, including programming as a member of Women at Tandon committee.
The incumbent will also provide assistance to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment in reviewing financial aid appeals and internal and external scholarship applications. They will participate in the scholarship selection committee as needed.
Reporting to and working closely with the Associate Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the Senior Program Coordinator promotes NYU Tandon School of Engineering through various channels, including information sessions, school visits, and online presence. He/she will provide administrative support for Undergraduate Admissions and the Associate Director’s initiatives to attract high quality applicants from around the world, assisting in meeting targets each year.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from international institution of higher education
Up to 3 years experience in event coordinating, student recruitment, in an admissions office or academic setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years experience in a Higher Education or non-profit setting
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Must have a high comfort level with technology, demonstrating proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Access, Word and Excel). Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings.
