Position Summary

Arts and Science is seeking a dedicated Administrative Aide II to join the Expository Writing Program. This individual will perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Assist with the prioritization of office activities and delegate to and monitor work of student and/or casual employees. Compose letters and correspondence. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet and data entry duties utilizing intermediate-level functions. Monitor moderately complex budgets and/or grants.

Qualifications

Required Education:
High School diploma and up to 2 years of specialized training or equivalent; Associates degree; or some College.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:
3 years of office experience (with High School diploma). 2 years of office experience (with Associates degree or some College).

Preferred Experience:
1-2 years of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
