Position Summary

The Director for Sales, Marketing and Business Development for the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) program at the NYU Meyers College of Nursing is responsible for a full range of marketing, sales planning and business development activities to grow the overall market share of program members in the continental US. The director is responsible for formulating, recommending, and implementing policies and programs in the areas of sales, pricing, market development and program acceptance research, and customer relations. The initial focus for this role is to develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing plan to expand the NICHE program into the long-term care/nursing home sector, while also maintaining a steady state of growth of new members in the existing NICHE acute care program.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Master’s degree in business, marketing, or related field

Preferred Education:
Marketing specialization preferred

Required Experience:
5 years’ experience in sales and marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience developing and managing common sales and marketing performance measures.

Preferred Experience:
Prior experience with marketing programs to healthcare organizations or professional service firms.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Salesforce platform and best practices in customer relationship management programs. Ability to design, implement, monitor and manage performance targets. Previous experience in sales and professional services marketing.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the regulatory, management and payment trends in the US long-term care and acute care hospital sectors. Knowledge of executive education or healthcare professional services consulting sales a plus. Self-starter, takes initiative, proven track record of business development projects, results-oriented. Customer service. Excellent judgement. Ability to travel and present NICHE to potential customer/members and serve as a “brand” ambassador.
