Reporting to the Vice President (VP), the First Deputy Director, Public Safety serves as the VP’s primary contact on all matters involving the office. The First Deputy Director directly manages the daily, mid-term and long-term activities of the VP’s office and advances the VP’s agenda. This is a robust portfolio and the First Deputy Director requires a close working relationship with the VP to advance all key initiatives. Broadly, the First Deputy Director maintains close contact with members of the VP’s leadership team, oversees a small team within the Office, and is charged with managing projects, overseeing cross-functional teams, and improving efficiency. The First Deputy Director monitors progress toward meeting goals and operates a reporting system that allows for the timely flow of data into the Office of the VP.
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science or Security Management.
Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Security Administration.
5 years' relevant experience in crime prevention, private protection, security management or equivalent combination.
Experience working in other cultures and fluency in a language other than English is a strong preference.
