Position Summary

Provide full-cycle recruitment support for assigned clients, specifically University Development at New York University.  The Talent Manager ( TM ) will develop innovative recruitment and sourcing plans, screen and interview qualified as well as a diverse range of candidates, and recommend candidates for hire. The TM will also coach and counsel internal applicants to help them compete effectively for transfers and career progression opportunities within the university. In addition, the TM will engage in a full range of activities that produce a pipeline of candidates for job vacancies in advance of need.  The TM is responsible for communicating recruiting metrics and analytics to key stake holders.  The TM will report to the Director, Talent Acquisition in University HR and the AVP for Business Operations & Administration for University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). 

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree.

 

Preferred Education

Master’s in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

 

Required Experience:

4 years' professional level human resources experience, at least three of which include full-cycle recruiting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience recruiting development and alumni relations professionals is high desirable.

 

Preferred Experience 

Experience working in an academic or non-profit institution.  Experience recruiting development and alumni relations professionals.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, behavioral based interviewing, and legal trends. Excellent project management, writing, and oral communication skills. Ability to interpret policies and procedures, negotiate and resolve conflicts. Demonstrated ability to interact with management at all levels. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the use of email.
