Position Summary

Provide technical support (installation, troubleshooting, and repair) for Student Health Center (SHC) network infrastructure and related connections to ensure SHC connectivity. Run hardware and software diagnostics and identify and resolve problems. It is also responsible for most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network infrastructure, including server, software, and communication devices. Set up, configure, support and troubleshoot network infrastructure. Recommend upgrades, patches, and equipment for network infrastructure maintenance. The incumbent's work is reviewed infrequently, on an as-needed basis. The incumbent resolves problems that require some degree of tact and sensitivity.


Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Relevant certification.

Required Experience:
3 - 5 years' relevant experience with networks and PC support.

Preferred Experience:
1 year experience with Citrix, SCCM, Google Scripting, and PowerShell. Familiarity with the following: CCAA – Citrix Certified Advanced Admin and Jira; Lynx; Sophos

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of computing procedures and standards and desktop and network configurations. Expertise in both hardware and software. Proficiency with test equipment used in troubleshooting technical and support issues.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
