The Department of Public Safety is seeking an Accreditation Analyst to assist and support the Department of Public Safety’s Campus Security Accreditation Program. The principal role of the analyst will be to coordinate and assist in the collection of Departmental data and assessment reports, conduct research on a wide range of compliance and accreditation matters, draft preliminary reports on these issues, and assist the Director of Professional Standards with documentation requirements for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) Accreditation Programs.
At least 2 to 4 years’ experience relating to legal, state and federal regulatory compliance in a higher education setting, or, equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Working knowledge of CALEA Campus Security and/or IACLEA Accreditation Programs.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong writing ability, logical and analytical thinking, information and data gathering, analysis and synthesis skills, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to operate standard office equipment. Computer Proficiency -- (1) Adobe Acrobat: create and edit PDFs, create forms, redaction. (2) Create and manipulate Microsoft Office documents. (3) Experience with Google Applications (Gmail - in particular searches, labels, filters, automatic forwarding, Calendar, Drive, Sites). (4) Ability to use browser-based software services and databases.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Functional knowledge of advanced Excel functions such as writing, combining, and debugging formulas; conditional formatting; data validation; and VBA. Experience working with PowerDMS Policy Management Software.
