Position Summary

This is a multi-purpose position: to serve as a liaison between NYU Undergraduate Admissions Office and the Tandon School of Engineering; to work in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate and Graduate Academics, in developing strategies to achieve the unique enrollment goals and net revenue needs of the Tandon School of Engineering, to assist central admissions in the marketing and coordination of recruitment and yielding programs unique to the Tandon School of Engineering, to monitor the discount rate, scholarship program and the net revenue of new and continuing students, to develop and cultivate working relationships with specific high schools and to assist in the generation of revenue producing programs unique to the Tandon School of Engineering.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree

Preferred Education:
Masters Degree

Required Experience:
5-7 years of experience in admissions and enrollment at a selective doctoral degree-granting university

Experience working with undergraduate students

Experience working with diverse groups in an educational or other non-profit organization

Experience in using technology (e.g. PeopleSoft, enrollment management technology, web management, database management, PowerPoint, etc.) to support recruitment and data management and professional presentations

Preferred Experience:
7-10 years in higher education with demonstrated experience in higher education student recruitment, admissions and/or marketing a plus

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proven ability to implement effective recruitment strategies and develop marketing plans for programs

Thorough knowledge of admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management policies and procedures

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

Strong writing skills

Experience with Peoplesoft and common application system
