  • Position Summary

    Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Operations, the Operations Specialist will be responsible for the initial review and processing of Tandon Graduate applications while providing excellent customer service. The Operations Specialist will work with office leadership to meet graduate enrollment goals in accordance with the University’s strategic plan. The Operations Specialist will assist the Associate Director in managing daily application processing and in managing the day to day responsibilities of Graduate Admission’s Graduate Assistants. The Operations Specialist will maintain enrollment data and create Ad Hoc reports as necessary.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor’s degree required with at least two years of higher education administration experience

    Preferred Education:
    STEM higher education preferred

    Required Experience:
    Experience working with academic university transcripts

    Preferred Experience:
    Preferred experience with international credentials

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

    Understanding/working knowledge of PeopleSoft based student information systems or other student information systems

    Excellent skills in problem solving, resolving complex application issues

    Experience in using technology (e.g. CRM, MS Office, enrollment management systems, web management, database management, etc.) to support operations, data management, and professional presentations

    Demonstrate proven technological ability, creativity, flexibility, and a keen willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented office.

    Excellent writing skills and interpersonal communication
