Position Summary

The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) and serves as a primary member of the OEO team that is responsible for the development and implementation of programs, workshops, training and other services provided by the OEO to the University community. The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing educational initiatives and compliance programming. The Program Manager will also be responsible for designing OEO materials for dissemination, collaborating with OEO staff to produce and maintain online web content, social media campaigns, and office communication materials.


Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education:
Some relevant graduate coursework.

Required Experience:
5 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience administering academic or organizational programs, experience creating publications and using social media platforms to engage stakeholders effectively, and experience conducting research in the area of compliance and/or data with regard to higher education.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in higher education.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Superb written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Considerable knowledge of office systems and procedures; knowledge of business communication. Ability to take initiative and manage a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to work and communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders in individual and group settings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications and with various social media platforms

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with federal, New York State, and New York City legislation related to affirmative action, equal opportunity, and the rights of individuals with disabilities, as well as Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 and other federal and state laws regarding sexual misconduct.
