Position Summary

Oversee the development and implementation of research activities within the Office of the Vice Dean of International Initiatives & Development with a focus on the College's Global Outreach programs. Work with internal and external parties to gather information, design research protocol, obtain Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval, and abide by best practices. Continuously monitor and evaluate methods and outcomes of multi-year studies and communicate findings through papers and presentations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and Master's in Public Health or Clinical Research

Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years' professional level experience conducting research in public health and/or clinical trials, data collection and analysis, writing/designing research protocol, facilitating Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, and research writing.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in managing projects, supervising individuals and writing grants.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data; proficiency in SPSS software to perform statistical analyses; strong analytical skills; ability to effectively communicate research ideas, methods, and outcomes in writing; self-motivated; organized; excellent multi-tasking; natural leader; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work within a group as well as independently; ability to travel domestically and internationally. Must be physically active, as this position requires movement of equipment and supplies and to travel to outreach destinations.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong computer and writing skills are important, particularly as they relate to research. Has knowledge of public health and interest in health research.
