Position Summary

The Executive Assistant directs the daily operations of the Marketing and Communications Office. Treats all conversations and information confidentially to help create and maintain a feeling of integrity when dealing with faculty, staff, and clients. The Executive Assistant is responsible for operational and administrative details and performs administrative functions that require a thorough knowledge of Institute’s policies, procedures, and operations and an understanding of the Institute’s role within the community. This position regularly, frequently, and independently interfaces with high-level internal and external contacts requiring considerable discretion, initiative and confidentiality. The Executive Assistant exercises initiative and independent judgment in managing the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications schedule and the office’s daily activities including the department budget.

Qualifications

Required Education - College Degree Required Experience - 5+ years experience supporting at the executive level

Experience assisting management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations

Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management

Support experience in a professional services, sales or marketing environment

Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent calendar management skills.

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access or similar database Preferred Education - Bachelor’s degree Preferred Experience

Support experience in a professional services, sales or marketing environment

Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The coordination of complex executive meetings
