The NYU Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Executive MBA Admissions. The selected candidate will develop and implement admissions policies and procedures for the Stern Executive MBA Program. S/he will read applications, interpret and evaluate credentials against admissions requirements, and present applicants for admissions to the program with the program Directors. The selected candidate will conduct in-depth interviews with experienced professionals applying to the program, review applications, and render admissions decisions as a member of the Executive MBA Admissions Committee. The Associate Director will also implement and evaluate recruiting and marketing tactics to attract students into the Stern Executive MBA Program and provide post-program analysis. S/he will be responsible for developing marketing materials, including brochures, website content, and other marketing collateral and working on admissions operations. Additional duties will include: traveling domestically at least 1-2x a month to target markets for special events and activities for prospective applicants, such as monthly Information Sessions and Interview Days, as well as managing technical systems to meet admissions needs.
The selected candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination. Experience in admissions, recruitment or related student services areas is essential. S/he must also have experience supervising staff and administrating budgets. Excellent written, interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills are required. The selected candidate will have the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, advise students, and resolve problems. Candidates with a degree in Higher Education, Marketing, Communications or other business-related disciplines are preferred. Candidates who have experience in a professional services environment in a for-profit business are also preferred.
