Reporting to the Director of Graduate Marketing & Recruitment Strategist, the Project Manager, Online Graduate Program Management will help lead the University’s ongoing efforts and new initiatives in graduate, professional, online, and otherwise tech-enhanced education. The Project Manager will work closely with relevant NYU Deans, faculty, and administrators to solve enrollment challenges and facilitate new programs that will further the University’s goals of enhancing the student experience. Position will manage relationships and collaborations with current and potential educational technology company partners in conjunction with the IT Online Program Specialist.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree in related field.
Required Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration, public policy, or related field. Experience with project management, program development, and strategic planning. Experience managing projects in a deadline driven environment.
Preferred Experience: Experience with higher education enrollment consultation and/or tech-enhanced program development
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, extremely strong project management skills, including defining project scope, project calendar, resources required, identifying and sequencing steps needed, analyzing the effectiveness of program goals and communicating effectively with the client. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with both academic and administrative executives and staff at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, along with strong research, project management, organization, interpersonal, multitasking, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects involving large streams of data from multiple sources, and hands-on experience in assembling data for large data collection projects, including the ability to analyze and synthesize data sets. Prior experience in managerial roles in enrollment management, admissions, program management or development, or institutional research (or other related fields) preferred. Working knowledge of statistics, teaching learning technology operations, educational technology companies and state authorization compliance dependencies.
