Position Summary

The Events Manager will lead program and event design, planning, and implementation, including defining scope, executing logistics, and ensuring they are on schedule, on budget, and meeting objectives. This position will report directly to the Senior Director and work directly with the Institute’s staff and other personnel throughout NYU to coordinate Institute events and activities.


Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:
3 years of relevant professional experience in entrepreneurship, innovation and/or project management. The manager should have a proven track record of successfully organizing and managing priorities in a fast-past environment where deadlines are critical.

Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a university setting and familiarity with entrepreneurship.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, organization, and presentation skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications. Attention to detail with ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
