    Manage the design and construction of capital improvements and major infrastructure projects for New York University's Planning and Construction Division to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved budgets, schedules and quality standards. Manage consultants, contractors and other vendors to optimize financial results and quality performance. Maintain highest standards of ethics and integrity.

    Qualifications

    Required Education:
    Bachelor's degree required. 

    Preferred Education:
    Degree in architecture, engineering, project management or construction management. Degrees in interior design or business administration may be considered if complemented by experience in construction project management.

    Required Experience:
    10 years' relevant experience in construction, mixed design, and project management.

    Preferred Experience:
    5+ years of experience managing complex construction projects, extensive experience managing full gut renovations and out-of-the ground new construction projects and/or extensive experience managing complex science and engineering construction projects, research laboratory renovations, as well as demonstrated leadership within a large institution of higher learning.

    Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Competence with MS Office products and any additional applications designed to support job function; contract and vendor management, budget & schedule management; Effective & sound decision making,

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    Prioritization & time management; interpersonal & customer relations; teaming; written & verbal communications; problem solving & analytical skills. Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering design. Ability to formulate, analyze, and effectively communicate detailed project budgets and schedules. New York State professional engineering license.
