The Procurement & Contracts Coordinator provides operational support to IHDSC with a focus on contracts, purchasing, and procurement for sponsored research projects. They provide contract management, taking the lead on finance administration, managing business procedures by liaising with offices across the university (e.g., Accounts Payable, Procurement, Risk Management, etc.) on various supplier requests. They ensure that spending on IHDSC sponsored projects complies with university policies/procedures and applicable federal/private foundation guidelines. They train faculty investigators and research staff on current policies and changes in policies affecting research, and oversee overall efforts to help the administrative and operational flow of IHDSC's research activities. They will also provide support for pre-award grants management, events, and special projects, and serve as a bridge between the pre-award and post-award teams This is a fixed-term position.

2+ years of business and financial accounting experience.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience working in a university setting or non-profit organization; processing agreements in a university setting or non-profit organization; Familiarity with interpreting insurance requirements for suppliers/vendors
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and effective problem solving and workflow management abilities. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and strong attention to detail. Ability to conduct compliance assessments and interpret and execute complex policies, procedures and processes. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Google Docs/Sheets. Highly self-motivated and directed.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of federal, state, University and School fiscal guidelines, requirements and systems.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
