Position Summary

Manage and execute all administrative and operational functions for five academic programs during the academic year, including J-term and summer. Coordinate with Faculty, Program Directors and Department Administration on matters that affect the academic programming and realization of curated public-facing events. Supervise all aspects of programmatic activities relating to personnel, scheduling, space; manage budgets,donor funds and grants: and work closely with the Department Administration on special projects. Supervise and mentor program staff and student workers. Offer cross-program support for projects and initiatives involving other academic programs within the department, School, and University.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years relevant administrative experience, including supervision experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in higher education and an arts discipline relevant to the program.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills. Proficiency with productivity and database software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $71,498.66 to USD $87,387.24. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
