Position Summary

Provide service management, strategies, and support for NYU's Learning Management System (LMS) that serves the teaching and learning needs of the university. Manage the quality, progress, and lifecycle of native or integrated tools. Lead consultative and project-based support for the use of these tools for teaching and learning. Assess overall use of core or integrated tools and help guide strategic planning efforts to improve processes. In the event of an outage or service disruption, this position is required to respond immediately (including responding outside of working hours).

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in educational media, instructional technology, project management, technology management, or related field.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in educational media, instructional technology or related field strongly preferred.

Required Experience:
5+ years relevant professional experience including prior experience supporting learning management systems.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years work in educational media, instructional technology or related field strongly preferred. 3+ years relevant professional experience in higher education. 3+ years or more of direct work with faculty to support their teaching and learning needs

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of product lifecycle management processes and techniques. Experience supporting faculty and students in the use of learning management systems such as D2L Brightspace, Sakai, Blackboard, Moodle, and/or Canvas; web conferencing tools such as Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet; and other teaching and learning applications. Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain high levels of creativity and quality. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to be flexible in work assignments that may require changing priorities regularly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines, stay on track, and communicate workflow obstacles while working on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail. Self- starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation. Ability to be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work with little supervision. A positive, cooperative attitude that supports the university and its mission.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Participating in the management of a portfolio of enterprise applications used to support teaching and learning in a higher education environment. Experience in teaching, training, or tutoring. Experience with vendor and contract management. Project management experience. Experience presenting and communicating with governing bodies and stakeholders.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $97,312.89 to USD $117,312.89. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
