Position Summary

The Program Administrator, Startup Accelerator Program administers the functional execution of the NYU Leslie Entrepreneurial Institute’s research-to-market initiatives, most notably the Startup Accelerator Program. Facilitates the professional delivery of programs designed to transition ideas into startups. Orchestrates all phases of the program lifecycle, including the execution of application and selection processes, speaker and mentor engagement, and the implementation of founder onboarding and success frameworks. Serves as a primary liaison for the founder community, connecting academic researchers with the Institute’s entrepreneurial resources. In addition to program execution, oversees the day-to-day needs of the Leslie eLab, manages functional workflow improvements, and ensures the integrity of the Institute’s data collection and reporting processes. Leads student-facing initiatives and support broader Institute goals as assigned. Ensures that core program objectives and their execution align with the Institute’s standards and mission. This position requires in-office presence 5 days a week. Hours may extend into the evening to accommodate the dynamic operational needs of the Institute and its stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years Relevant experience in project management, communications, events management, and/or community management. Experience planning and implementing administrative activities and event planning on a budget. Experience with data collection, management and analysis.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience working in customer success and/or community management. Prior experience working on a startup.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, organization, and project management skills. Ability to manage program logistics, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and productivity tools, and comfort and curiosity for learning new tools and systems - particularly in the realms of workplace productivity and data management software and systems. Strong data analysis, and database management skills. Ability to track and project manage an event budget. High attention to detail and strong work ethic, with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. Strong team player and willingness to jump in to support colleagues to ensure their success, and the success of the Institute as a whole.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Visual presentation/communication skills via Microsoft PowerPoint. Database management and data analysis. These skills are preferred but not required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $76,500.00 to USD $93,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
