Position Summary

The Administrative Manager provides high-quality event planning and operational support to the Office of Research and the Office of Sponsored Programs. This role manages and coordinates all aspects of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events from concept development and planning through execution including workshops, while advising on event strategy, catering, and venue selection. In addition, the Administrative Manager delivers complex administrative support to the Vice Dean for Research and the Office of Sponsored Programs, requiring thorough knowledge of the School’s and University’s policies, procedures, and operations. The role maintains strict confidentiality of all communications and information, including financial data, when working with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Required Experience:
2+ years experience supporting executive level individuals; experience with all major admin software packages; supervision, managing budgets, and equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Support experience in a professional environment; experience in modifying and/or creating processes

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills and calendar management skills. Outstanding writing skills, excellent organization, planning, interpersonal, and networking skills. Strong attention to detail. MS Word and MS Excel.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $73,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
