Position Summary

Prepare financial aid reports and related analyses and summaries. Maintain complex financial and budgetary spreadsheets; track awards and/or stipends ensuring they are posted to proper accounts, apply calculations to data and tabulate. Establish student financial records and files and ensure that records and files are maintained and updated on an ongoing basis. Initiate and respond to various types of inquiries regarding financial aid policies, procedures, deadlines, etc., including those that may require additional research and investigation and requests for information. Coordinate all aspects of the named scholarship process.

Qualifications

Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
3 years of related experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.

Preferred Experience:
1 year of related experience in a financial or accounting firm processing a large volume of transactions (with a Bachelor's degree).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level spreadsheet, database and word processing applications. Knowledge of financial software package.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Excel and Word.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $39.13/hr. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
