Deliver a superior new hire experience by providing a high level of customer service and maintaining quality throughout the pre-employment onboarding process. Ensure the completion and accuracy of all pre-employment processes and forms according to the policy and guidelines, while maintaining data integrity. As an active member of the University Human Resources community, interact with new hires, Recruiters, Human Resource Officers/HR Business Partners, School/Unit points of contact and other areas of Human Resources as needed. Responsible for hire related transactions from start to completion as well as managing relationships with new hires. Partner with supervisors in the development of onboarding related metrics, analytics, dashboards, and assist with Onboarding Center- and recognition-related projects. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience as a human resources coordinator, on-boarding specialist, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience presenting in front of small and larger groups.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a shared services environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to administer business processes and requests consistently with general supervision. Ability to assess problems and promptly resolve or identify appropriate team to resolve. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and collaborate across the University and University Human Resources at all levels within and outside the organization. Strong time management, attention to detail and ability to manage individual assignments. Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Workday HRIS system and reporting environment. Understanding of UHR and NYU policies and procedures. Working knowledge of service request management tools. Working knowledge and use of office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office applications) and web-based applications.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,200.00 to USD $85,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
