Position Summary

The Facilities Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing minor construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across a multi-building portfolio within the NYU School of Law. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with university standards and regulatory requirements, while supporting the strategic goals of NYU SOL Facilities and Construction Management.  Oversee end-to-end project execution, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and compliance. Manage contracts, change orders, permits, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines and budgets. Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams; lead meetings, resolve issues, and provide regular progress reports.  Support facilities operations by managing maintenance activities, infrastructure issues, and preventive service programs. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ADA, OSHA, building codes) and assist with emergency preparedness.  Supervise vendors, consultants, and staff to drive performance and cost efficiency, including oversight of hiring, training, and evaluations. Contribute to bidding processes, process improvements, and strategic planning while providing updates to senior leadership.  This is a fully onsite position. 

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Required Experience:
3+ years of related space management and construction experience

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to consult with a diverse population on space and construction management needs and to develop systems that meet those needs. Knowledge of standard office software, including a strong knowledge of database and web applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
