Position Summary

This position will advise undergraduate and graduate students in the IDM program on academic matters. Support all aspects of the department’s credited internship programs and capstone courses (undergraduate and graduate). Develop and deliver student services and special events, seminars, and workshops to meet the career development needs of students in the IDM (Integrated Design & Media) program, both undergraduate and graduate. Manage alumni relations and engagement for the department. This position will actively engage relevant companies to grow the department’s visibility across industries. Through the outreach to other organizations, incubators, companies, and alumni, cultivate new corporate leads and partnerships to promote and support the department’s academic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in art/design, related to IDM

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in art/design - field related to IDM

Required Experience:
3+ years experience in academic advising, career advising, or counseling students at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years Experience with academic programs at the University level

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Google Workspace.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
