The Vertically Integrated Projects Manager will provide operational support to the Vertically Integrated Projects Program in the Undergraduate Academics Office. Facilitate the various actions required to successfully offer and conduct the Vertically Integrated Project Programs. The Project Manager will spearhead the development, coordination and execution of projects related to the operations of the Vertically Integrated Projects Program. Direct all aspects of gathering, analysis, training and communication for the VIP Program including student recruitment, applications, admission, enrollment, student success, diversity, graduation, retention, and job placement to program development, expansion, evaluation, collaborations, events management, funding, and outreach. Supervise staff and responsible for performance management, recruitment, and training and development of new employees.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree engineering, computer science, education, or technology discipline
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, education, technology, communications, organizational management, or another appropriate discipline or PhD in engineering education is preferred.
Required Experience:
5+ years managing an academic program in higher education, supervising staff and managing budgets.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience in programming, web development, financial management, project management; teaching or mentoring.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must enjoy working with people and be effective at establishing and managing relationships at NYU, city, state, national, and international levels. Must interact effectively and over the long-term with NYU students, staff, faculty, alumni, administrators, etc. Understanding of science and technology and its impact on society is required; some technical experience/background is thus essential. Excellent communication skills: written/oral/presentation/etc. Excellent organization skills: documentation/processes/policies/etc. Computer literacy/proficiency, particularly with Google Drive (sheets, docs, slides, etc.), is essential
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to speak effectively in public strongly preferred. Education research and IRB application and approval experience. Experience and success with grant proposal writing and grant management.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
