Position Summary

Play a critical operational and consultative role within NYU’s Global Compensation team. Responsible for the day-to-day execution of the compensation strategy developed by the Senior Associate Vice President for Compensation, ensuring operational excellence, data-informed practices, and alignment across the University. Lead the implementation of broad-based compensation programs, manage the annual merit and bonus planning cycles, and oversee compensation analytics and reporting. Provide expert compensation guidance to HR and business leaders across the University and offer indirect oversight of compensation operations for NYU’s global sites—including the Abu Dhabi campus—to ensure consistency with the University’s global compensation philosophy. Provide analytical support and serve as a back-up for executive compensation functions.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related field

Required Experience:
10+ years progressive experience in compensation, including broad-based compensation program management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience supporting compensation operations across global locations

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication, consulting, project management, and relationship management skills. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data. Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with compensation and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday). Working knowledge of executive compensation principles and ability to support governance processes.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $200,000.00 to USD $240,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
