The Chief Global Compliance Officer (“CGCO”) is responsible to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel for developing, executing, and enforcing the Global Ethics and Compliance Program in order to ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulatory requirements in addition to University policies and procedures. The CGCO should proactively enhance standards and procedures to the program to detect, prevent, and correct non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
The CGCO will lead the implementation of a comprehensive compliance program for the University through meaningful engagement of key stakeholders and collaboration with various constituencies of the NYU community. The CGCO will operate with managerial courage and authentic, calm confidence, being open and direct even in difficult conversations, addressing any challenges tactfully and head-on, and engendering trust both throughout the NYU community as well as externally. CGCO will represent NYU as a public face of the organization, engaging with key stakeholders and communicating NYU’s vision and strategy while building relationships, championing NYU’s interests externally and representing NYU’s image and reputation. The CGCO will effectively lead by example and through influence, inspiring others while fostering accountability and driving towards organizational and programmatic goals. The CGCO will be highly collaborative, compassionate, and sought out for their perspective.
The Office of Ethics and Compliance is responsible for instilling a culture of compliance with regulations and ethical standards and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure excellence in the University’s efforts to comply with its institutional, regulatory and legal obligations. This office will ensure both general and specific training and education regarding applicable laws, regulations, and policies; communication of clear business ethics guidelines to all employees, faculty, consultants, and independent contractors; monitoring and oversight of the University’s efforts to maintain the highest standards of excellence in fulfilling its institutional and regulatory obligations. Travel to other NYU campuses and sites is required.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $330,000.00 to USD $400,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
