The Study Away Administrator will serve as a key member of the Special Programs team, supporting the management and administration of international exchange programs and study away scholarship opportunities. The role contributes to the vision of the Office of Global Programs by providing a high level of student services for matriculated and non-matriculated students engaged in NYU’s Global Network by providing admission and enrollment, academic, career, financial aid, cultural awareness, travel planning, and personal advising to students; representing and marketing NYU Global Programs to potential students at on-campus and off-campus events; cultivating relationships with students, Profiles and college advisors to encourage a positive response and interest in enrolling at NYU Global Programs; reviewing and evaluating students’ admission applications to achieve University, geographic, and departmental enrollment targets by encouraging qualified students to apply; supporting the University’s emergency response protocol and contributing as part of the Global Programs Enrollment and Student Services team.

Masters Degree in Higher Education, International Education/Relations, or related field
Required Experience:
3+ years

Experience working in student advising, recruitment and promotions/marketing, or student services/student life
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to interact professionally and courteously with customers in a face to face situation. Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Experience and comfort with video-conferencing, webinar facilitation, and online learning platforms. Solid administrative and organizational skills, proven ability to multitask. Comfort with handling sensitive situations and/or people. Ability to promote the University and to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to form relationships with key colleagues across campus. Valid US driver's license. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel independently.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Time spent living, learning, or travelling internationally and experience with cultural adjustment . Valid passport.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $73,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
