Position Summary
Provide leadership and curricular oversight of the administrative operations of the Institute of Fine Arts Academic Office. Oversee the implementation of the IFA's admissions and recruitment process for MA and PhD programs. Serve as liaison among the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS), Director of Masters Studies (DMS), Admission and Fellowship Committee, and Director of the Institute to ensure student success and efficient operations of the department that align with the academic calendar. Manage and track student admissions, enrollment, academic progress and graduation. Provide guidance and support to students and faculty and serve as a liaison between the IFA and other University departments to solve problems and enhance academic experience. Ensure compliance with academic policies and procedures. Evaluate current programs and make recommendations to IFA senior leadership. Supervise staff and prioritize assignments to ensure deadlines are met and review work for accuracy. Represent DGS and DMS at events and on committees and assist Director with implementation of new programs and curricula. Interpret University policies and procedures and implement and monitor departmental compliance.

Duties Include
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education
Required Experience:
5+ years relevant experience, including experience with academic program development, planning and implementing administrative activities, course scheduling, counseling/advising students and supervising staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of higher education and research and the role of knowledge in public affairs. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to market programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Detail-oriented data collection and analysis skills. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Ability to supervise staff and work in a high volume, fast paced and deadline driven environment.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 to USD $125,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
