Position Summary

Proactively oversee and maintain operations and improvements to all Art Department studios, teaching & exhibition spaces. Participate in space planning and communications. Manage Student Employment process. Act as Liaison with ITS, Telecommunications, and Steinhardt Facilities Group. Oversees Studio and Lab Managers to insure smooth operations of Studios, Shops and Labs. (Full-time, Some evenings and weekend hours required.)

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years of professional administrative experience, specific experience managing an arts related facility, or working in arts or arts education. Experience must include facility and program management, student services and staff supervision.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in University and/or equivalent professional setting. Fabrication experience is a plus.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with widely varied constituencies. Must demonstrate ability to exercise astute judgment and discretion on sensitive issues. Proven ability to take initiative and collaborate with others. Competency and familiarity with current technologies, applications and trends

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $83,237.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
