Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Director, PhD Program in the Doctoral Office. The Director will manage all aspects of the doctoral program including: operations, admissions, academics, financial aid, diversity initiatives, and student engagement and support services. They will develop strategies and initiatives to improve and enhance all functions, services to students, and outcomes of the program. The Director will manage advising, campus housing, financial aid, communications to students and alumni, and course registration. They will also resolve complex student issues, partnering with the relevant offices. They will manage the development and implementation of orientation programming, community building events, career and professional development workshops and the graduation ceremony. The Director will also manage the doctoral program admissions process and determine the best strategies to promote the program. They will also manage and develop staff and manage budgets, determining the most cost effective allocation of resources. 

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s degree or MBA preferred) and 7+ years related experience in management, recruiting, and/or student  services, including supervisory experience or an equivalent  combination of education and experience.  Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, project management, outreach, and organizational skills are required. Excellent technology skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace is also essential. Experience with statistical analysis is preferred. 

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,0000 to USD $120,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
