The Senior Graduate Academic Advisor is part of the team responsible for managing the day-to-day academic operations of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering’s Graduate Programs. This role serves as a member of the graduate advising team, assisting students in articulating their academic goals and developing meaningful educational plans. Advises students on a wide range of academic issues and topics, such as probation, registration, academic policies, cross-school registration, and career planning, as well as facilitating individual and group sessions throughout the academic year. Collaborates with faculty, administrators, and other University offices to support the administration of MAE’s graduate programs, including tasks such as admissions processing, class scheduling, enrollment management, and liaising with the Wasserman Center and the Grad Academics team. Additionally, the role oversees all MAE academic event planning, including workshops, alumni networking events, orientations, and symposiums.
