Position Summary

The Program Administrator will manage programmatic, administrative, operational, and co-curricular activities and communications for University cross-cutting initiatives, including Arts and Impact and Inequality and Opportunity. The individual will report to the Vice Provost of University-Wide Initiatives and partner with other University and school units in the planning and execution of meetings, activities, and events connected to these and other interdisciplinary initiatives. The Program Administrator will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of related programming and activities for students, faculty, and staff, building connections with these groups. They will serve in a central coordinating role and serve as the point of contact for events and activities that involve multiple units. The role will develop and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders, support other communications efforts (e.g., website, social media), and maintain an updated schedule of events and programming. The Program Administrator will gather and analyze data to understand needs, inform improvements to programming, and increase operational efficiencies. The individual will manage budgets for programming and may direct student employees and/or volunteers as required.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years Experience administering academic or research programs and events, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including time management, planning, and orientation to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation delivery skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and sustain effective relationships in support of project goals, and interacting with diverse constituencies. Proficiency with standard office productivity software, including basic data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workplace, Adobe Creative Suite, web design using CMS, and basic graphic design.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience in arts, performance, and/or creative fields. Experience with fundraising and/or grant development, particularly in areas related to social impact.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
