University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.
The Blackbaud Data Warehouse Manager role is under the Advancement Services and Analytics team. Facilitates business intelligence data requirements and information delivery. Lead the maintenance of Business Intelligence data flows and the Data Warehouse. The Manager will combine technical aspects with business needs to ensure quality data, so that information is available for reporting throughout the organization. Engage in continuous improvement of our user-driven reporting functionality through Tableau and other Microsoft products.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in any of these majors: MIS, IT, Business, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Math, Economics, Operational Research or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience:
5+ years of database and significant applications programming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
7+ years experience with database administration, data warehouse design, and data modeling or a combination of education and experience
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Business Intelligence experience using Microsoft BI Stack – SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and development
Experience developing reports using SQL
Experience working with different source data such as SQL Server, Excel, Access, Flat Files, On-Prem, Cloud, APIs
Hands-on experience with Donor/Alumni Databases such as Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge, or Advance
Deep knowledge and understanding of Microsoft .NET programming stack aka C# and VB.NET
Experience writing REST API calls within SSIS
Experience working with scripting languages
Experience developing complex reports and deliveries using SSRS and Tableau
Experience developing reports using Excel Pivot tables or Tableau with SSAS
Experience working with various source control solutions
Ability to write and understand MDX or DAX queries
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft BI stack Services
Knowledge on Microsoft Azure technology
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) development experience using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar data integration tools
Advanced Structured Query Language (T-SQL) programming experience, including working knowledge of stored procedures and views
Advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) programming experience including SSIS and ETL is preferred
Knowledge of data warehouse methodologies
Exceptional business analyst skills; ability to complete complex analysis, design, and programming projects
Ability to multi-task and set task prioritizations
A minimum of two years of experience with Tableau is preferred
Experience working at an academic institution and/or advancement context is preferred
Proven data warehouse implementation and maintenance skills and methods
Ability to work effectively in a multi-function environment across organizations with and without direct supervision
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $125,000.00 to USD $145,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
