Position Summary

Manage all aspects of the faculty recruitment process for academic departments in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development (Steinhardt); consult with administrative offices and academic departments to resolve problems; monitor current and implement new office polices and procedures; recommend policy improvements; manage recruitment budget and expenditures. Responsible for overseeing all administrative aspects of faculty recruitment and other Faculty Affairs matters. Serve as the main point of contact for faculty recruitment for Steinhardt’s faculty and academic departments.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience managing projects independently and as part of a team, planning and implementing special events, and budget administration.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a large, highly selective college or university or in a non-profit organization.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
