Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Associate Director, Diversity and Inclusion. The Associate Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive environment on campus. The selected candidate will serve as a strategic thought partner in the creation of initiatives to advance diversity and inclusion for all members of the NYU Stern community of students, faculty and staff. They will work in a highly collaborative manner to facilitate intersection among all students and student groups to promote intercultural understanding and create and enhance a supportive campus climate for underrepresented students. The Associate Director will track progress towards improving diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity across the school community, and will collaborate with administrative leaders in student engagement on work with student clubs and organizations with a special emphasis on student affinity groups and students who are from underrepresented groups.

Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant progressively responsible professional-level experience in a higher education, non-profit, or corporate setting, professional experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, experience working with multiple departments or working on broad-based projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, strategic, management and systems skills are required. Strong relationship management and program management skills, proven ability to plan and implement programs with quantifiable results are also required.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
