Primary role, providing administrative and general assistance type office work to the Manager for Faculty Support Services, including providing comprehensive support to professors, centers, institutes, committees, programs and/or conferences where he/she functions as the interface between staff and professor. Handle complex budget work. Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the departmental offerings policies and programs. Prioritize office activities and delegate to student and/or casual employees. Interact with University personnel including those at the senior level regarding specific issues and problems. Customize and/or compose letters in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Monitor complex department budgets and/or grants.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent or an Associate's degree or some college.

Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years of office experience (with High School diploma). 2 years of office experience (with Associates degree or some college).
Preferred Experience:
1+ years of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $37.900. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
