Position Summary

The Manager, Finance will oversee the Steinhardt School’s $9M budget for Doctoral Studies as well as perform the duties necessary to ensure the accurate funding of the total compensation, as approved by Steinhardt, to all full-time Doctoral Fellows as well as Research Assistants at the Steinhardt School. The Manager, Finance will oversee all aspects of external grants for doctoral students. This position will provide strategic oversight over financial recommendations. The Manager, Finance will coordinate, manage, and budget for doctoral student events including professional development sessions, meetings designed to provide information and build community across departments, and the annual doctoral student welcome event.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business or other related fields.

Required Experience:
5+ years in budget management.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and networking skills. Ability to work with faculty and a diverse student population. Familiarity with various software applications.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
