Position Summary

The College of Arts & Science seeks a dedicated Assistant Director of Preprofessional Advising and Postbaccalaureate Prehealth Studies Program. Main responsibilities include directing the Program for career-changing college graduates; marketing the program and advising program participants to prepare them for application to health professional school. Additional responsibilities include providing general academic advising and related services to students and alumni of the university.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:
Master's degree.

Required Experience:
3-5 years' relevant professional-level experience with academic advising in a liberal arts college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with pre-health program at top college/university.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels. Ability to advise diverse student population on a multitude of topics.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
